Additionally, the junior artists are employed in 18 operas of the regular theatre’s repertoir: "The Queen of Spades" (P.Tchaikovski), "The Magic Flute" (W.Mozart), "La Bohema" (G.Puccini), "Carmen" (G.Bizet), "Boris Godunov" and "Khovanschina" (M.Moussorgski) and others, where the participation of children is scripted.

Children can start attending the theatre-studio at the beginning of a new season, when the main enrolment procedure starts. The young artists are required to have initial musical training, be artistic, and have a sense of rhythm. The classes are held 3-4 times a week: children are trained in the art of musical stage acting, fundamentals of drama, choreography, and singing. Early on they become familiar with the classic opera repertoire and works of modern composers.
